American Rivers —
Daniels Dam & the Patapsco River
Working with American Rivers, we provided professional photography in support of public outreach surrounding Daniels Dam and the future of the Patapsco River.
The imagery documented the dam, river, surrounding landscape, and recreational use of the Daniels area during a broader effort to engage the community in considering the site's future. Daniels Dam represents both an important part of the Patapsco Valley's industrial history and an ongoing conversation about river restoration, wildlife habitat, recreation, and preservation.
AAIC's photography helped provide the visual context needed to tell that complex story and encourage informed public engagement.
Patapsco Heritage Greenway —
Patapsco Valley Heritage Area
Working with Patapsco Heritage Greenway (PHG), the managing organization for the Patapsco Valley Heritage Area, AAIC produced an extensive collection of aerial and ground photography and video highlighting the natural, historic, and recreational character of the Patapsco River Valley. The project documented scenic landscapes, trails, waterways, historic sites, communities, and visitor attractions throughout the Heritage Area.
The imagery was created to support tourism, education, conservation, and public outreach, and has been used extensively across PHG’s website, social media, publications, and reports. AAIC’s footage and photography were also featured in a Maryland Public Television production, extending the reach of the project to a statewide audience.

Preservation Maryland —
Historic Preservation in Action
Historic preservation often involves much more than preserving a building—it means documenting the work, people, and engineering that make preservation possible. Through projects with Preservation Maryland, AAIC has documented several significant projects across the state through professional aerial and ground photography and video. The work has included the restoration of the historic log cabin on Jonathan Street in Hagerstown, the relocation of the historic B&O WB Tower in Brunswick, and the lifting and preservation of the Burtis House in Annapolis.
These projects required documenting preservation work as it happened—from restoration and stabilization to the careful movement of entire historic structures. The resulting imagery provides a visual record of the people, techniques, and engineering involved in protecting Maryland’s historic places while helping Preservation Maryland share these stories with the public.
