Through our Historic Ellicott City By Air project, AAIC Visual Perceptions documents the town's historic architecture, scenic landscapes, community events, and the natural beauty of the Patapsco River Valley from both the ground and the air. What began as a passion for photographing this remarkable place has grown into one of Maryland's most recognized collections of Historic Ellicott City imagery, preserving its character and sharing its story with visitors around the world.
From colorful fall mornings and snow-covered streets to summer festivals, local history, passing trains, and the everyday moments that make this town special, Historic Ellicott City By Air is our way of sharing our appreciation for this remarkable town. We love digging into the stories behind the photographs, from the Patapsco Flour Mill and the Ellicott Brothers' original mill dam to the people, landmarks, and events that shaped Historic Ellicott City. Over the years, our Facebook and Instagram communities have grown into a favorite destination for thousands who enjoy discovering the beauty, history, and character of Historic Ellicott City.
Our passion for Historic Ellicott City has also led to the privilege of serving as the official photographer and videographer for "EC250" - the Ellicott City 250th (Sestercentennial) celebration. Working alongside local organizations and community leaders, we've documented many of the events and milestones that celebrateing one of Maryland's most historic towns. It is an honor we take seriously, and one that reflects our commitment to preserving the history of Ellicott City for future generations.
Historic Ellicott City By Air is a passion project of AAIC Visual Perceptions, the professional photography and video company behind the images you see throughout these pages. While HECBA began as a way to share our appreciation for Ellicott City, it has also become a natural extension of our work as photographers and visual storytellers. From aerial imaging and ground photography to video production, AAIC brings the same care, creativity, and attention to detail to projects throughout Maryland and beyond.
